Jolly Roger Coffee Ring

Serves 4-6.

This is JoAnn's standby for one breakfast at the cabin.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 12 maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 cup pecan halves
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Tools

  • 9-inch coffee ring mold

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Prepare toppings:

  • Melt 3 tablespoons butter in 9-inch ring mold.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over butter.
  • Distribute cherries and pecan halves evenly around the mold.

Prepare dough:

  • Mix Bisquick and water with a fork.
  • Divide dough into 12 balls. Set aside.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
  • Melt remaining butter in a separate dish.
  • Roll each ball in butter and then in cinnamon/sugar mixture, then place in a section of the mold.
  • Sprinkle any remaining ingredients over the dough in the mold.

Cook it:

  • Bake 25-30 minutes. Invert immediately.
